THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP SERIES MEETINGS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED TO BRING STUDENT-ANGLERS FROM FAR AND WIDE TOGETHER TO A CENTRAL LOCATION FOR THE CAMARADERIE FRIENDSHIPS THAT ARE OBTAINED BY THE EXPERIENCES OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS.  THESE MEETINGS FEATURE THE REINFORCEMENT OF THE CHARACTER EDUCATION SUBJECT AREA OFTEN OVERLOOKED OR EVEN SKIPPED DURING THE REGULAR SCHOOL DAY.

IN ADDITION TO THE BENEFITS OF GREAT CHARACTER EDUCATION, THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP SERIES MEETINGS HELP TO INTRODUCE THE SPORT OF FISHING AS A NEW SCHOOL SPORTING AND ATHLETIC ACTIVITY OUTSIDE OF TRADITIONAL SCHOOL SPORTS AND ATHLETICS. ALONG WITH INCREASED PARENT AND BROADER COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN OUR SCHOOLS, INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORT FISHING DEVELOPS COMPETITION IN AN ENTIRELY NEW REALM UNLIKE ANY OTHER COMPETITIVE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE.  

THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP SERIES MEETINGS HELP TO INCREASE SCHOOL SPIRIT AND SCHOOL PRIDE; DEVELOPS LONG LASTING FRIENDSHIPS; ENCOURAGES NEW SCHOOL RIVALRIES; CREATES MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME; PROVIDES YOUTH AND ADULT INTERACTION; AND ENHANCES LONG LASTING TRADITIONS.  THE ALL OF THE BENEFITS OF INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORT FISHING THE FORECAST LOOKS LIKE A GREAT DAY TO TAKE ON INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORT FISHING ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL WITHOUT THE ANXIETY OF MAKING IT TO A SPECIFIC AND BEING LEFT STRANDED DUE TO TRAVEL LIMITATIONS.  

THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP MEETINGS ARE HELD ON THE THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR.  FEATURING GUEST SPEAKERS THAT HAVE COME THROUGH THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS PROGRAM AND HAVE NOW ADVANCED TO THE COLLEGIATE LEVEL OR EVEN HIGHER LEVELS OF COMPETITION.  THE SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP SERIES SCHEDULE FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS SEASON IS AS FOllOWS:

SCHOLASTIC ANGLERS WORKSHOP SERIES SCHEDULE

All Scholastic Anglers Workshops will be held on the THIRD Thursday of each month throughout the school year and Scholastic Anglers Season.  The location will be Boater’s Marine, 1829 Williams Road, Monroe, NC  28110 (phone:  704-282-0967).  All times will be 7:00PM until 8:00PM.  In order to be eligible for end of the year honors, student-anglers must attend five (5) out of the Eight (8) workshops.  For additional information, please contact 704-315-7071 or stay tuned to www.scholasticanglers.com

As a reminder, each and every participating student-angler must meet the minimum attendance requirement for the 2018-2019 Scholastic Anglers Workshop meetings.  It is the participating student-anglers responsibility to sign in, keep track of, and be aware of this requirement.  In order to be eligible for the end of the 2018-2019 school year and 2018-2019 Scholastic Anglers Season prizes, awards, and honors any and all participating student-anglers must attend five (5) out of the eight (8) Scholsatic Anglers Workshop meetings.  For additional information, please contact 704-315-7071 or stay tuned to www.scholasticanglers.com
